We purchased the property in 2019 after falling in love with the views, wildlife and tranquillity of nature, a far cry from the hustle and bustle of Johannesburg of which we were both accustom.
The property had no drinking water or electricity and was overgrown with trees and bushes. We had always been fond of the outdoors and were fortunate enough to have owned a Conqueror Caravan which we utilized and set up at the location of the Hunters Cabin. We fortunately had a small solar system in the caravan which was our saving grace at that time.
The Hunters cabin followed shortly with the purchase of a 3×5 meter Wendy House. After constructing the toilet, basin, Shower and septic tank we added a Kitchen area outside. This was our new home for the next few months while building our house where we stay today.
We hold the Hunters Cabin close to our hearts as it was the beginning of the next chapter in our lives as covid-19 hit the world
